Working closely with the Director of Community, the Diversity & Inclusion Chair’s primary responsibility is to identify opportunities for and ensure AIGA CT’s programs serve a diverse and inclusive community. In order to ensure department efforts are being effectively managed, Chairs are encouraged to recruit committee members to assist with various duties as needed. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring AIGA CT programs and events and accessible and inclusive, and in some instances creating programs and educational opportunities around the topic of Inclusion
- Assist the Dir. of Community to uphold and promote D&I within programming and the community
- Submitting event, survey, and activity reports tracking D&I progress and initiatives
- Promoting AIGA CT’s mission to create a place where design thrives for everyone
- Aligning with national initiatives when possible
