AIGA CT’s 2026 Programming Preview

From the Programming & Community Team

As we look ahead to 2026, AIGA Connecticut is excited to share what’s next for our community. We have so much planned for our members, focusing on : providing meaningful, purposeful programming that  supports Connecticut’s creative community.

Everything we do is guided by AIGA CT’s mission:

To champion, inspire, and activate the Connecticut creative community.

Below is a preview of how that mission comes to life through our programming philosophy, and the new events launching in 2026!

New Programming Launching in 2026

Starting in January 2026, AIGA CT is introducing three new initiatives  to  better support creatives at different stages of their careers and working lives:

  • Coffee & Creatives
  • Skillset Sessions
  • AIGA CT Mastermind Program: Creative Leadership Circle

We developed each of these offerings based on feedback from our  community and where support is needed.

Coffee & Creatives

Coffee & Creatives is a free, online meetup from AIGA Connecticut created for  creatives to connect through open, honest conversation.

This series is especially designed for:

  • Freelancers
  • Remote creatives
  • Independent designers and makers
  • Anyone working outside of a traditional office environment

For many creatives, opportunities to talk candidly with peers about challenges, tools, career shifts, or industry changes are rare. Coffee & Creatives creates space for that.

Each session is a welcoming, low-pressure environment with guided conversation where participants can:

  • Share experiences
  • Exchange ideas and resources
  • Build meaningful connections within the creative community

Think of it as a virtual coffee break with purpose.

Skillset Sessions

Skillset Sessions are quarterly, in-person workshops focused on building real, usable creative skills.

Each session:

  • Focuses on one technical tool, process, or workflow
  • Uses a hands-on format that prioritizes practice over theory
  • Encourages questions, experimentation, and real-time learning

You’ll work alongside other creatives, apply what you’re learning immediately, and leave with skills you can confidently use in your work.

Designed for designers and non-designers alike, Skillset Sessions are about:

  • Learning efficiently
  • Building confidence
  • Strengthening practical skill sets
  • Connecting with your local creative community

AIGA CT Mastermind Program: Creative Leadership Circle

To fully serve Connecticut’s creative community, we recognize the need for ongoing, structured support for mid- and senior-level professionals—especially those seeking clarity, connection, and leadership growth.

The AIGA CT Mastermind Program is designed to meet that need.

This goes beyond traditional mentorship. It’s about what an alliance of peers with shared goals can accomplish together.

This is:

  • Peer-led leadership development
  • A space for clarity, accountability, and strategic thinking
  • A professional circle for mid- to senior-level creatives
  • Sessions with guided facilitation from AIGA CT

This is not:

  • Mentorship
  • Skills training or education
  • Portfolio reviews
  • Student-focused programming

The Creative Leadership Circle is built for creatives who are ready to think bigger, lead with intention, and grow alongside peers facing similar challenges.

Looking Ahead

We’re incredibly excited about what 2026 holds for AIGA Connecticut. These new programs are just the beginning!  We’re committed to continuing to listen, evolve, and grow alongside our community to create space for everyone.

Have a safe and happy New Year!
