How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, make people cry, and (every once in a while) change the world
AIGA Connecticut is honored to host one of the most renowned graphic designers and AIGA Medalist, Michael Bierut, in New Haven.
Late last year HarperCollins published How to, Michael Bierut's first monograph, design manual, and manifesto. In it, he discusses some of his work for a long list of prestigious clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Harley-Davidson, The Atlantic, Princeton University, Billboard, and the New York Jets, to name a few.
Protégé of Massimo Vignelli, partner at Pentagram, and co-founder of Design Observer with Jessica Helfand, William Drenttel, and Rick Poynor, Michael's work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the Library of Congress, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, and the Musée des Arts Decoratifs de Montreal.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to meet Bierut, and gain insights into how he does what he does so damn well. Reserve your copy of his book when you register, and get it signed at the event.
This event will sell out quickly!
