For more than 100 years, March 8 has been recognized as International Women’s Day. On March 8, 2015, people all over the world will celebrate women’s achievements while stimulating conversations about furthering gender equity.
The AIGA Women’s Leadership Initiative is joining this movement and we invite any interested member to participate creatively in this collective effort.
Make it Happen
To celebrate this occasion, flex your muscles and design a fabulous digital image that represents women’s leadership to you.
We invite AIGA members, of all genders, to share their women’s leadership-themed designs on Twitter by tweeting at @AIGAdesign and including the hashtag #AIGAwomensleadership. (Without following these instructions, we might not see your work!) Follow the 4×6″ format of our Women’s Leadership postcards, or think outside the box—it’s your work, we just want to celebrate and amplify it! And, of course, be sure to send it from your own Twitter, so that you get the proper credit.
AIGA will celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 by sharing some of our great member-submitted designs on our AIGA-branded social handles (including on Twitter, where AIGA has a whopping 460,000 followers) all day long, as well as throughout the month of March, which is Women’s History Month.
Looking for some inspiration to get started? Check out these designs created by the AIGA Women’s Leadership Steering Committee.
We appreciate your participation, and look forward to seeing these creations!
