Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month In Connecticut

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th every year. Here are a couple of activities:

At the Buley Library, Southern Connecticut State University, 501 Crescent Street, New Haven, CT, view a display celebrating the works and contributions of Hispanic authors, musicians and filmmakers.

On Saturday, October 6th, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM the Bridgeport Library honors Hispanic Heritage Month by showing McFarland USA at the Newfield Branch Community Room, 1277 Stratford Ave., Bridgeport, CT. It’s the poignant story of Latino runners, suitable for all ages.

Then on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (Sabado, 13 de octobre del 2018, 10:00 de la manana a 4:00 de la tarde) there’s the ¡Fiesta Latina! at the Peabody Museum of Natural History, Yale University, 170–210 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT. Free Admission (Entrada Gratis). There’ll be performances of traditional and contemporary Latin American music and dance along with games, live animals, crafts, and other activities.
