AIGA CT Announces 2023 Fellow 

The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Connecticut proudly announces Randy Herbertson as the 2023 AIGA CT Fellow. Randy Herbertson, owner of The Visual Brand in Westport, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field of brand strategy and creative direction over the past 25 years.

With a diverse background that spans roles within the client, agency, media, and digital realms, Randy has been a driving force behind numerous product innovations and corporate transformations. His expertise as a creative director and strategist has made him a sought-after professional in the marketing and innovation space.

Throughout his career, Randy has worked with many companies and industries, including E&J Gallo, Allied Domecq, Conde Nast, and prominent agencies within the WPP and Omnicom networks. In addition to his roles within established organizations, he founded his first brand studio in 2004 in New York City. After selling this in 2011, he founded The Visual Brand (TVB) in 2013 in Westport, Connecticut, further showcasing his commitment to excellence in branding and design.

Randy Herbertson’s contributions extend beyond his professional endeavors. With a personal commitment to emerging talent development, he actively mentors young professionals and emerging companies, sharing his knowledge and experience. Randy also lectures at various collegiate institutions, inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers. In addition, he serves on the advisory boards of the Westport Public Library and the VOCES8 Foundation and is a mentor and coach for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

 

Randy has been a dedicated member of the AIGA Connecticut community since the early 2010s and has served on the board since 2015. His involvement in AIGA CT has played a significant role in fostering a vibrant design community within the state.

 

Randy Herbertson’s dedication to the field of design and his tireless efforts to elevate the industry make him a fitting recipient of the prestigious 2023 AIGA CT Fellow. His unwavering commitment to creativity, innovation, and mentorship aligns perfectly with AIGA CT’s mission to champion, inspire, and active the creative community.
